When it comes to studying in Canada, a lot of people think having an IELTS result is the only route. However, that’s not true as there are other new and easy ways to study in Canada without having IELTS. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized language assessment examination used to test the language skills of potential International students.
It has been discovered that many students have good English ability but they don’t want to attempt IELTS due to several trials or stories they’ve heard about how difficult IELTS might be.
Some other students avoid IELTS due to its costly nature.
Hence, we have made our research and discussed with various Canadian Universities about other processes of studying in Canada without IELTS.
We discovered that without IELTS, you can apply for a bachelor’s Masters’s and Ph.D. Programs in some universities in Canada as there are many wonderful opportunities to study abroad without IELTS and attain your Bachelor’s, Masters’s, and Ph.D. degrees.
There are many other alternatives offered by Universities in Canada asides from IELTS. They include but are not limited to Language proficiency exams like TOEFL(Test of English as Foreign Language), CPE, CAEL( Canadian assessment English language), PTE (Pearson English Language Test), Duolingo English Test, Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP), Academic English Program for University and College Entry (AEPUC), CanTEST, and Cambridge English Exams.
Also, If you previously had an education in the English language, you can get a letter from your college or university and apply for your study permit using this letter as an English Language Proficiency requirement while explaining to them that you had your previous degree in the English language.
Moreover, if you aren’t able to get an IELTS, TOEFL, or English Proficiency Certificate before relocating to Canada, you can apply for the ESL Program (English as Second Language) to further your education in Canada.
The duration of this program is 6 months and you would be able to get a Language Proficiency Certificate after 6 months so that you can continue your actual education in Canada even if you don’t have IELTS or TOEFL or English Proficiency Certificate, you can then apply for the ESL Program (English as Second Language) to further your education in Canada.
But, if you would be applying to study in Canada without IELTS, make sure to improve your English language when speaking especially the vocabulary aspect. Most importantly, learning the American or UK Accent will help improve your English while speaking.
